You not being here is problematic.
(Not like the system of equations I
solve but more like an impediment that has been
placed between our zealous bodies.)
You're not lying next to me, you're
Not. Even. Close.

From this distance I can't
breathe you in, nor
can I kiss your tender lips.
Gravity cannot press me down into your body.
You cannot catch me if you're not here.
And all the while I'm want,
want,
wanting you.

I've got a vacant bed of black.
It's lacking you, dear.
Your absence is like a
hole in my heart and when
you're with me I'm okay for
the moment, an hour,
a day, a week.
And when you touch me,
I'm more than okay.

You hold the power to
curtain reality from my virtuous gaze
as though I'm blindfolded to
prevent plastic insecurities
from entering my system.
This throne is reserved for you, darling.
You are the gatekeeper to my utopia,
a land of green pastures where
the sky is always chromatic.

I don't mean to burden you.
You carry these talents in your body,
a briefcase of intelligence that I've
been searching for.
How are you to know how I'm feeling
unless I vocalize this,
write this down for you absorb?

Come on, let's start a revolution
and become textbook heros.
Let's start a revolution!
